Can you Choose How You Feel?

Updated: Jun 5

Start your 6-month nutrition program today!

I love the feeling I get right after a workout. Strong, energized, happy and sharp.

Or the feeling I get after a delicious, healthy meal. A meal that gives my cells the nutrients they need, a meal that keeps my blood sugar balanced and digests easily.

Feeling full but not stuffed, satisfied, energized, and ready to go.

Or taking a 20 minute walk around the park after sitting at my computer all morning. My stress drops, my mind wakes up, my eyes relax, and my muscles loosen.

I tell you this not to be all “YAY ME!” but just to say, like James Brown, “I feel good!”

But trust me, I’ve felt like crap before.

I’ve been chronically tired and irritable.

I’ve been unfocused, disconnected and tense.

I’ve felt bloated and gassy, ready for a nap after eating a meal.

I’ve felt slow and sluggish, weak and achy.

And I’m willing to bet that many of you are dealing with similar things.

But here’s the thing:

(Tough love time.)

This low energy, weight gain, brain fog, anxiety and moodiness didn’t just happen to you.

You feel the way you feel because of choices you have made and continue to make.

Because here’s the truth:

You get to choose how you feel every day.

This is great news! This means that you don’t have to just accept feeling like crap all the time. This means you can do something about it. Today. Now.

Now, it took a while to get to the spot you’re in, so it’s going to take some time to get out of it. But don’t let that stop you! Anything you do toward your goal will make you feel better than you do now.

Let that sink in. You’re not going to solve this with a 30-day weight loss challenge. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

So the question is: How do you want to feel?

If you typically feel pretty great and life is good, then keep it up!

But I imagine most of you would like to feel better in some way.

To have more all-day energy. To have a stronger libido. To have less brain fog and more focus at work. To have the strength or endurance to do a big run. To have the stamina to keep up with your kids or grandkids.

To not feel like you’re just surviving or going through the motions.

If that speaks to you, let me know!

But to repeat it, because it’s THAT important:

You get to choose how you feel.

You choose how you feel with every bite, every drink, every step, every breath and every thought you have.

Maybe you’ve spent a while choosing to feel like crap.

But today, you choose to not feel like crap anymore. You choose to start taking those small, incremental steps that give you a better mood, less stress, more energy, and more quality time with the people you love.

If that’s something you want for yourself, or for someone in your life, I’ve got your back.

So much of the work we do when we work together is on mindset - making small, conscious choices that change habits.

Those habit changes lead to results. Results like you having more energy, less brain fog, and better mood.

So, what are you waiting for? I’ve got a spot for you in my 6-month 1-on-1 program.

If that’s not for you, my group program “Get Off The Roller Coaster” is launching June 3rd.

Ready? Let’s go!
