As a holistic nutritionist, I’m focused on way more than tracking your calories or making sure you’re eating 30 grams of protein per meal.


Nutrition isn’t just about the food you put in your mouth, it’s about your environment, your mindset, and your community.


Nutrition is about the movement you get each day, getting sunlight on your skin, and drinking enough water.


It’s about what you eat, sure, but also when you eat, how much you eat, how often you eat, how many times you chew, how fast or slow you eat, and who you eat with.


Nutrition is a connected web of habits that nourish our body and keep us healthy and vital.


Biomechanist Katy Bowman talks about her idea of “nutritious movement”. Basically, movement can nourish us much like food does, keeping us mobile and active as we age, making our bones and muscles strong, and boosting our mood.


I think that idea can translate to all the other aspects of nutrition and health, too.


Community nourishes your mental health, which creates vigorous physical health.


Your environment provides fresh air, water and sunshine which gives us energy and keeps us moving and feeling good.


How and when you choose to eat, and who you choose to eat with, affects your mindset and mood but also how well you digest and absorb your food.


How you choose to spend your time and what you feed your mind every day nourishes your mood and outlook on the world, as well as your physical health. 


Of course, food nourishes us, too. We get the nutrients our bodies need to function, grow, build and repair from the food we eat. How well our bodies use those nutrients is affected big time by everything else above.


So when we work together, we won’t be focused on tracking every bite of food or weighing you each week.


Instead, we focus on all those things in your life that could be nourishing you and giving you amazing energy and vitality but need a push in the right direction.


We’ll work on creating new, positive habits that nourish your mental health as well as your physical health.


We’ll get you outside in the fresh air and sunshine more, drinking more water, and doing more everyday movements with people you like to spend time with.
